One year ago today..

...I decided that I needed a better camera. I told Shane that I love taking pictures and I do so much with them in scrapbooking, blogging and frames around our house that we should have better quality photos. Especially after seeing the amazing photos my good friend Stephanie was taking with her SLR camera. He agreed and off we went to RC Willey for a new camera. I got my first SLR camera, a Canon Rebel, and it was the best money I EVER spent! The second we got home I read that manual from cover to cover and started shooting away. I bought books about digital photography and was on the internet constantly looking up information. I took a workshop by the fabulous Carin Davis and the more I shot the better I got. My passion for photography came out like I had never expected and I started taking clients in April of 2009. I have such amazing support and encouragement from all my friends and family. Thank you everyone. I am a lucky girl! Taking pictures makes me so happy and to see the happiness in other people when I capture their precious moments makes me as giddy as a girl in pink patent leather shoes! What an amazing journey I have begun and I can't wait to see where I go from here.

"Isn't she lovely..." is the song that came into my mind when I read this post. Don't ask me why I'm telling you this? I'm so random sometimes and I always say what's on my mind. But, so are you pictures... lovely. I love watching your journey in photography. You do an amazing job. WOW, only a year? Look at you go! Keep it up!
