18 months old TODAY!

Miss Aubrey Jean turned 18 months old today. Here are a few of my favorites from our little 10 minute photo shoot since it was freezing!

We are in the process of putting a roof over our patio and Aubrey loves to look out the window at them working. I thought these were a few fun pictures.

Sweetest Boy!

I went to Wheeler Farm today to take pictures of my little sisters cute family. They got to be my first attempt at family pictures and it was so fun. Isn't he just the cutest boy!! I am still learing so much and can't wait for my Carin Davis class in March! I love playing with my camera!!

This is such a fun idea, I wish I was better at taking pictures- but oh well. So I decided to go with the 4th picture in my 4th folder since I got my new camera...and here it is. One of my 3 very favorite subjects :) Little miss Aubrey and the pumpkin that she picked at the pumpkin patch.

Train Tracks

I got Aubrey the cutest outfit and just had to take her out and get some photos the second I put it on her. Sorry Steph, I just could not wait....but I do want to go again with you. I am sure the girls look darling in theirs.

Anxious learning

So....while I anxiously await my photography class in March with Carin Davis, (that seems like FOREVER away!) I have been trying to learn some things on my own by reading books and looking on line for tips. I have recently gotten into digital scrap booking and while on their web site for tips I stumbled across a FREE online photography class. I started the first lesson today and learned about the rule of thirds and the "Golden Mean". They also went over abstract photos and getting real close to an object to see all the detail, even sometimes so close you may not know what the subject is. Well, here are a few of my test shots after my first lesson. I think my favorite is the yellow flower. Enjoy!

Ok, so here was my attemp to use the AV (Aperature-priority AE) on my camera. I love the blurred background effect.

Eyelashes

I love Aubrey's eyelashes and I tired to get her to sit still long enough to try and get a picture of them. Such a girly girl.

My first attempt

So- I don't take my photography class until March but I have read some books and the tips from the camera manual and this is a few of my first manual attempts. Don't be to hard on me, still learning. Also, my dad had florescent lighting at his hair salon so the color is not the greatest.

New Camera

I got my new camera!!! A Canon Rebel. I am so excited, I can't wait to try some fun things out. This weekend I am pretty sure nothing else will get done. Oh well, Shane will be out of town anyway :)
